Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has called for fearless unity following the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, urging Indians to visit the valley to boost tourism and defy terrorists. Speaking at the Lata Deenanath Mageshkar Award 2025 ceremony, he stressed that Kashmir remains integral to India and encouraged collective resilience.
“We Must Not Fall Into Fear” On 22 April, terrorists struck Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, with several others injured. The attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot, marks one of Kashmir’s deadliest incidents since the 2019 Pulwama attack. Shetty condemned the violence, saying, “The Almighty will see everything and respond. Right now, we need to stay united as Indians. We must not fall into the trap of those who are trying to spread fear and hatred, but stay united.” “Our Next Holiday Will Be in Kashmir” Shetty revealed he reached out to authorities, offering support. “I called them and said if you want us to come there for shooting or as tourists, we will definitely come,” he said. Amplifying his message, he urged, “As a citizen, we have to do one thing. We have to decide that our next holiday will be in Kashmir and nowhere else. We have to show them that we are not scared and actually there is no fear.”
Speaking of the professional front, the 63-year-old actor remains busy with Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath, a historical epic set for release on 16 May 2025, co-starring Sooraj Pancholi and Vivek Oberoi. “It’s about warriors defending our heritage,” he said of the film. He also stars in Welcome to the Jungle with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt.
