The phygital seasonless FDCIx Lakme Fashion Week 2021 had some sensational collections, from Indian to Western this time it was all to die for.
Closing the show dressed in a yellow bee garden printed embroidered bomber jacket, bustier and skirt from "Kismet" by R|Elan x Payal Singhal, was Athiya Shetty who was the epitome of laidback elegance and statuesque comfort as she brought the key elements of the collection to life with grace and easygoing charm.
Athiya Shetty carried the outfit with outmost grace and added more charm to the attire by blending it with perfect makeup and accessories, She teamed the outfit with big pearl hoop earrings and went with all fresh and breezy makeup with subtle base, lashed up eyes, soft eyeshadows and pink lips and kept her hair all open down from the top.
Collaborating with R-Elan - ‘the fabric of the future’ for her “Kismet” collection of Indian athleisure, Payal Singhal showcased a playful, Gen–Z friendly line of fun clothing.
This collection was entirely crafted using the brand’s high performance, eco-friendly fabrics created using sustainable techniques. Specially engineered R-Elan fabrics include fluid FreeFlow BSY, luscious SuperFeel filament yarn, Free Flow – exclk, and Green Gold made from used PET bottles.
Commenting on the collaboration and upcoming showcase, Payal Singhal said, “It’s impossible to ignore the times we are living in when designing a collection now. We’ve spent the past year in kaftans and loungewear, they have become wardrobe essentials! The DNA of the brand has always been to revisit Indian silhouettes with a global mindset so that they are not limited by season or occasions, but instead are all-encompassing with a focus on comfort. R|Elan™ is undoubtedly the next generation of fabric, specially engineered to provide the dual benefits of high fashion and enhanced comfort which is the exact sentiment that ‘Kismet’ as a collection captures. With this unique one-of-its-kind line, Payal brought her signature, bohemian, relaxed, treatment for garments to the forefront. Here was an amazing look that revolved around lounge wear-cum-street wear meets Indian wear that will delight fashionistas on the move during the coming season.
