“Being a mother, you get a little more attached while shooting such sequences,” says Juhi Parmar on Hamariwali Good News’ pregnancy track

Over the last couple of weeks, we've seen a lot of drama take place at the Tiwari household. In fact, the show took a three-month leap recently and left everyone astonished after Renuka and Mukund (Shakti Anand) returned to find out that their son, Raghav (Aditya), and daughter-in-law, Navya are heading for a divorce. Renuka was in quite a fix. She not only had to restore the Tiwari Sadan to its glory as well as save Raghav - Navya’s relationship, but also get ready to deliver a baby.

Playing a seven-month pregnant woman with a huge baby bump is a task, but also immersing yourself in such dramatic sequences makes it even more difficult. But Juhi Parmar has been acing it! In fact, the pregnancy track has even made the actress reminisce about her real-life pregnancy. As Juhi Parmar mentions, “I have played a pregnant woman in an earlier show as well, however, during that period of time, it was different. I hadn't experienced pregnancy in real life, so I didn't know how you feel when you're a mother. But this time around, I have been a mother, so I know how you feel when you're pregnant and it did make me nostalgic. When you have been through the journey, how I have now, it becomes more natural to enact scenes and pick up the body language as I know what it is like to be pregnant. The post leap track has really made me nostalgic, especially with all the beautiful memories of my pregnancy coming back to me.”

She further added, “Personally, motherhood is my best experience to date. As an actor, when I am enacting sequences where I am pregnant, it becomes much easier to relate to the scenes as the emotions come naturally. While the sequences might be similar to other tracks I shoot, being a mother, the pregnancy scenes bring a little more attachment and emotional connection to the whole track and I am enjoying shooting as always.”
